Internal Family Systems* in Action:
A Workshop for Coaches
January 16, 2026 • 9am to 12pm Pacific on Zoom
$199 $99 general admission
Experience IFS in Action
See IFS coaching in action, experience it for yourself, and leave with a new understanding of your most challenging clients. Experience how the IFS model reveals what’s happening when client behaviors, reactions, and patterns make the work feel hard. See a coaching demo and explore new ways of supporting clients that open the door to lasting, extraordinary results.
Experience how IFS helps clients move out of old patterns into lasting change.
Many coaches already support clients in shifting perspectives, recognizing patterns, and opening to what becomes possible beyond familiar patterns of responding. These conversations often create meaningful awareness and openings for new actions.
Yet every coach has seen a client create a new context and commit to new actions in a session only to later return to old habits or ways of being. It can leave both coach and client confused or fighting what looks like “self-sabotage” or “resistance.” Over time, even strong structures to manage or control this stop working.
Internal Family Systems offers a deeper way to understand why this happens and how to create change that lasts.
IFS helps us see the different parts within a person that shape how change unfolds. Some parts welcome something new. Other parts hesitate or step in to protect. When all parts of a client’s system are heard and understood, they align on a path that is both transformational and sustainable.
IFS does not replace transformational coaching. It adds depth, clarity, and freedom from the internal conflicts that shape behavior. It addresses protective tendencies with compassion and creates the conditions for real and lasting shifts.
This session centers on the clients who feel challenging to work with. You’ll get a direct, embodied experience of how the IFS model reveals what is happening beneath the surface. Through guided exercises, you’ll step into your client’s shoes and feel how their parts may already be shaping the behaviors, reactions, and patterns that make the work feel hard. You’ll also see an IFS coaching demo and explore new ways of supporting clients when the coaching feels complex or difficult to navigate.

Learn more about Bill, Rachel and their extraordinary IFS coach training program, ELEVATE.
The Story of ELEVATE
The ELEVATE partnership between Bill Tierney and Rachel Fink Parks grew out of a shared desire to understand what truly creates lasting transformation. Both had spent decades working closely with people and exploring the inner mechanisms that shape human behavior. Their paths converged when they recognized the same gap in the coaching world. Coaches were being trained in Internal Family Systems as if they were therapists. No one was showing coaches how to weave the IFS model into a coaching framework in a way that directly support the meaningful results clients want to create in their lives.
They recognized that coaches need an approach that blends the evidence-based methodology of Internal Family Systems with the power and possibility of transformational coaching.
Rachel brings more than twenty years of ontological coaching and leadership development experience, including leading Accomplishment Coaching’s Coaches’ Training Program for many years. Bill brings extensive IFS training, a coaching-specific protocol he has refined over years, and a large community of practitioners through Parts Work Practice. Together they created ELEVATE, the Alchemy of Coaching and IFS. This innovative program provides coaches a clear and accessible pathway to help their clients create even more of what they want in their lives.
*ELEVATE is not affiliated with the IFS Institute. ELEVATE training is informed by IFS and other Parts Work modalities.
